IPPY Awards Silver Medal

Cate is honored and delighted to share THREE amazing things:

First, Turning Toward Eden won a Silver Medal for Best First Book in the 2026 IPPY Awards!

Second, she’s thrilled the category won is Juv/YA. She had regretted entering TTE only in the YA category last August, but no more. At the time, she saw it as a YA novel with adult appeal rather than what it has proven to be since—Adult with YA appeal. This win cements it as a novel with true crossover appeal.

Third, she is very grateful that a secular contest found a place for a faith-infused book. Winning a prestigious IPPY encourages her to keep writing stories that speak to all readers.
